Product Highlights

Notable product launches I’ve led as case studies. I create clear roadmaps and deliver user-focused solutions.

Intelligent Document Processing

Challenge: Vasion customers processing high volumes of documents relied on people to manually enter and review data, then decide what happened next: who approves a document, where it is filed, and whether it needs escalation. At roughly one minute per page, long documents became significant cost centers in both time and money, and every routing decision depended on a human interpreting the content correctly. The process was slow, error-prone, and impossible to scale.

Solution: I owned product strategy for a new (0→1) intelligent document processing capability that treats a document's content as the trigger for automation. It reads and understands what is inside a document, then drives conditional business logic from that understanding. For example: if an invoice total exceeds $10,000, route it to the CFO for review; otherwise send it to the Director for approval.

As product manager, I identified the problem, interviewed customers, and wrote the requirements and target outcomes. I distilled the opportunity into a case leadership could buy into, partnered with UX to design the experience, and worked with engineering to scope and sequence delivery. The capability was also a cornerstone of Vasion's broader Intelligent Print Automation strategy, a key step in making that vision attainable.

Implementation: We built the extraction layer on Amazon Bedrock Data Automation, using foundation models to pull document values into structured key-value pairs. That structured content powers conditional workflow logic where customers define rules on extracted fields (amount, document type, approver tier) that automatically route and escalate documents.

To bring it to market, I partnered with product marketing on concrete customer use cases, and with our pricing manager to quantify the value delivered and set value-based pricing for the capability as a monetizable add-on.

Outcome: Reduced average manual data entry and routing from 5 minutes to 10 seconds, the outcome we targeted and delivered. The product is now in early adoption, proving out content-driven document automation with its first customers and removing human error from routing and approvals, while advancing Vasion's Intelligent Print Automation strategy.

Partner Onboarding

Challenge: At Google Cloud, the partner onboarding process was inefficient and time-consuming, leading to high support cases and prolonged time to onboard new partners. This posed a significant barrier to scaling partnerships effectively and delivering a seamless experience.

Solution: I initiated a comprehensive overhaul of the partner onboarding strategy. The solution involved leveraging cross-functional collaboration with UX (User Experience), engineering, and business teams to redesign the onboarding experience from the ground up. Our goal was to streamline the process, reduce complexity, and enhance user satisfaction.

Implementation: Automated workflows were put in place to replace manual team communication and information sharing. Several robust automated email campaigns were implemented to nudge partners to act. Finally, a new experience was launched to help partner self-guide themselves through the process.

Outcome: Achieved a remarkable 32% reduction in onboarding time, allowing partners to get up and running faster. Significantly decreased support cases by 30%, indicating improved user satisfaction and reduced friction in the onboarding journey.

Program Compliance Manager

Challenge: The compliance process for customers was time-consuming and resource-intensive.

Solution: We developed Program Compliance Manager, a tool that streamlines this process by allowing users to set compliance requirements for their partners. The tool automatically assigns partners to different tiers based on their compliance status. As partner data is updated, partners are automatically moved up or down in tier, similar to a frequent flyer rewards program.

Implementation: There was a self-configurable program admin experience where compliance requirements are mapped and entered. We also integrated this solution into the partner portal, where partners can easily track their progress and see what they need to do to achieve higher compliance tiers.

Outcome: Customers were thrilled with the tool as it allowed them to automate the compliance process and focus on more strategic tasks. It became a core functional product that strengthened the product suite.

Student Login Screen

Challenge: The existing login process for students was problematic. It was described as difficult, slow, and particularly challenging for younger students to navigate. This feedback highlighted a significant barrier to accessibility and ease of use, which needed to be addressed.

Solution: We aimed to create a simpler and more intuitive login method for students, with a special focus on younger users. Our proposed solution was to develop a proof of concept (POC) for a QR code-based login system. This method promised to streamline the login process and enhance the user experience.

Implementation: The development of the QR code login POC involved several key steps:

  • We designed the QR code login system, ensuring it was secure and easy to use.

  • The POC was tested with a group of young students to assess its usability and effectiveness.

  • Based on the initial tests, we collected feedback and made necessary adjustments to improve the system.

Outcome: The results of the QR code login POC were overwhelmingly positive:

  • Efficiency: The time required for students to log in was reduced by 90%.

  • User Experience: The younger students found the QR code login method to be delightful and engaging.

  • Overall Success: The implementation of the QR code login system was a win-win situation, significantly improving both the efficiency of the login process and the user experience.

Marketing Development Funds

We built the Marketing Development Funds (MDF) product for seamless, out-of-the-box use. Impartner customers can now manage their MDF needs through an automated approval platform, and manage requests and claims effortlessly. Partners can also see a transparent MDF experience all inside their portal.

Channel Intel

Collaborating with UX, we researched key user KPIs to determine growth and success. We set up a data warehouse for querying and implemented a solution for users to create their own data visuals. Channel Intel provided new insights that resonated with customers and drove business growth.

Activity Explorer

To provide meaningful and enriching content, we partnered closely with our educators and rebuilt the Activity Explorer to make content searches easier. Also, a Playlist feature was created, which empowered teachers to assign activities to individual students and led to a significant increase in educator logins and returning visitors.
